WORKSHOPS
LONDON/
MANCHESTER
We are based in two cities - London and Manchester. Workshops take place over a full weekend, once per month in each city. We also run online courses - see details here.
Our weekend workshops run from 10am-4pm both days. Every month is different, with a focus on specific techniques and processes. Techniques include Stanislavsky’s Toolkit, Meisner, Emotional Recall, Laban-Malmgren, Creating Characters through Movement, American accent, Tucker’s Acting for Screen, Complicite, Punchdrunk, Uta Hagen and George Bukhari’s ‘The Pitch’.
CMA Manchester January 2026 with Film & TV producer Juliet Charlesworth
We are delighted to welcome Juliet Charlesworth back to Manchester for our first in-person workshop of 2026. Juliet has had a vastly successful career as an executive producer and producer, working on some of the UK’s most loved shows, including Brassic, Happy Valley, Clocking Off, Stay Close and Ridley (starring our very own George Bukhari alongside Adrian Dunbar). She is very much an actor’s producer and loves the creative process.
Juliet will choose the scenes for you to work on over the weekend and will provide her unique insight and feedback on your performances. Practical sessions with George will prepare you for this - with detailed, intense scene work and character building exercises.
Start your new year with purpose and creativity as the industry hopefully moves forward in a more positive direction in 2026.
CMA London January 2026 with casting director Sheraz Ahmed CDG
Back by popular demand, Sheraz Ahmed will be returning to CMA London to kick off our workshops in 2026! Sheraz will lead both days, with support from our co-founders George and Majid.
We will be working from an original screenplay that Sheraz will be casting in the future, giving you a chance to showcase your creativity and ideas. Practical exercises will focus on the pitch, script analysis, intense scene work, character building and sharing with feedback. There may also be an opportunity to submit a self-tape to Sheraz for exclusive notes and potential spotlight material. He is always on the hunt for new talent and is highly appreciative of our community of actors.
Start the new year as you mean to go on by working with the casting director of All Creatures Great and Small, The Feud, The Hardacres and Ackley Bridge.
