WORKSHOPS
LONDON/
MANCHESTER
We are based in two cities - London and Manchester. Workshops take place over a full weekend, once per month in each city. From time to time, we also run online courses - see details here.
Our weekend workshops run from 10am-4pm both days. Every month is different, with a focus on specific techniques and processes, alongside top industry guests. Techniques include Stanislavsky’s Toolkit, Actioning, Meisner, Emotional Recall, Laban-Malmgren, Katie Mitchell, American accent, Tucker’s Acting for Screen, Punchdrunk, Uta Hagen and George Bukhari’s ‘The Pitch’.

Acting Truthfully: The Meisner Technique
CMA co-founders Majid and George will lead an intimate, intensive acting workshop weekend with classes developed from The Meisner Technique: focusing on repetition and the moment before. You will be given scripts and scenes to work on with specificity and detail, the emphasis being on listening and responding to your fellow actors.
George can currently be seen as DS Darren Lakhan in Ridley Season 2 and has recently wrapped on the latest season of After the Flood. Majid is currently preparing to shoot Season 2 of Testament (Angel Studios) and to direct A Midsummer Night’s Dream at The Source Theatre in Stratford.
Develop your toolkit and build on your craft whilst working on contemporary scenes and scripts.

As with Manchester, CMA co-founders George and Majid will lead our London workshop at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts on exercises developed from The Meisner Technique. We are limiting this workshop to one studio of actors to ensure an intimate and intensive weekend of process.
