Craft Masters Acting presents The CMA 360: From All Angles – a four-week online course of masterclasses, delivered by a different industry professional each week. A director, an agent, an actor and a casting director will lead a session each to give an all access pass to exclusive acting insights and tips.

The Masterclasses
Week 1 - Acting for Screen with Claire Tailyour
Claire Tailyour is an award-winning director and writer. She has directed hundreds of hours of television including lead directing on the BBC flagship dramas Beyond Paradise and Phoenix Rise, Netflix’s Get Even and The Wives for Channel 5. She is currently shooting new ITV crime drama The Blame, starring Michelle Keegan. Claire also has her own feature film Mother Wild in development, which won the BAFTA Rocliffe New Writing Prize in 2020. Her masterclass will delve into the actor/director relationship, acting for screen tips and techniques, and what she looks for in an actor.
Week 2 - Getting an Agent with Alex Priestley
Founder and Head Agent of Alex Priestley Talent, Alex has quickly made a name for herself as leader of one of the most exclusive agencies in the country. She prides herself on meaningful, hands-on relationships with all of her actors and approaches representation with forward-thinking advice and guidance. Just a few of her clients recent credits include Brassic, All Creatures Great and Small, I Fought the Law, Ridley, Unforgivable, Here We Go, The Feud, and This City is Ours. Expect a deep dive into the world of agenting, practical advice on developing industry relationships, and her all-important top tips on how to get an agent.
Week 3 - Acting Process with Chris Eccleston
We couldn’t be more excited to welcome one of the UK’s most highly regarded actors to CMA. Chris Eccleston has been gracing our screens and stages for over 35 years, with credits including True Detective, The A Word, The Leftovers, Legend, Thor: The Dark World, Doctor Who and 28 Days Later. He will guide us through his acting process, providing highly practical tips and techniques for building characters and how to succeed as an actor.
Week 4 - TV Casting with Sheraz Ahmed CDG
So you’ve got your screen acting technique down, secured an agent, and you’ve nailed your process. Now it’s time to book the jobs. Sheraz Ahmed has worked on some of the most well-known British TV of the past 10 years - All Creatures Great and Small, The Hardacres, Ackley Bridge, Happy Valley, Help, Time, Last Tango in Halifax…to name just a few. The reason we keep getting Sheraz in to lead our workshops is because of his passion for spotting new talent. He has a genuine desire to provide opportunities to actors he hasn’t met before and his feedback encapsulates what we all need to develop our skills: honesty. Our final masterclass of the series will delve into the casting process and arm you with the tools you need to book the gig.
